Children’s Therapies

The sessions are tailored to the child's individual needs using the therapeutic practice of Special yoga, a simplified approach that concentrates on relaxation and regulating the nervous system. As a qualified special yoga teacher for the past 8 years, and as a mother of a child with global delay and autism I have seen transformative results for both children and young adults in terms of improved self-regulation, better sleep, posture, digestion, concentration, calmness and generally feeling more at home with their bodies. I regularly teach children and young adults with anxiety, depression, sleep problems, autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, learning disability/ difficulties, PMLD, complex needs, and other physical challenges.

How I work

Special Yoga: I provide a nurturing safe space for the young person, through meeting them at their individual level, without pressure or expectation. Together, we explore the practice of yoga through simple breathing techniques, physical postures, massage, sound therapy, mindfulness, and relaxation and additionally offer the healing practice of reiki. Parents/carers are welcome to join in. The session can be enjoyed from the comfort of your home, school, or at a beautiful Livewell Center in Kew, Richmond. Please be aware that visits are limited to the south West London area.
